National-Louis campus will relocate to Skokie
published in the Chicago Tribune on July 28, 2005

EVANSTON -- National-Louis University announced Wednesday that Skokie will be the new home for its North Shore campus.

The campus, which will be located at 5202 Old Orchard Rd., is expected to open next July. It will feature high-tech classrooms equipped with LCD screens and computer ports for laptops, group study areas and staff offices.

"I hope the students get a good education," said President Curtis McCray, who is retiring next week. "And I hope that will be accelerated [with the new campus]."

University officials decided more than a year ago to sell their Evanston campus because students wanted modern computer labs and classrooms, better parking and a site closer to Interstate Highway 94.

The Evanston location was sold to Baker Demonstration School.

Classes will continue in Evanston until the Skokie campus opens.
