              HOW TO APPLY FOR LICENSURE:

              After receiving your passing test results from NBCC and graduating, you are to do the following:


Contact the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations http://www.idfpr.com/ and download the application for the Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

1.     Follow all instructions carefully or your application will be returned.

2.     Follow the instructions listed in the page ACCEPTANCE OF EXAMINATION

3.     Under #4, you are to contact NBCC.  NBCC will request a processing fee, an official final transcript and a written request asking them to send your exam score to the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.

4.     ED – submit form to NLU registrar to be completed.

5.     Professional Counselor Academic Criteria – To fill out this section please see attached form LPC/LCPC Core Areas. As we are an approved program you do not need to  submit course descriptions.

6.     You do not need to fill out VE-LPC form

7.     Submit your application along with the required fee.
